About this house
On a lush, enclosed plot, a walk from the beach on the North Zealand coast, lies this black-painted, charming wooden summer house, with lots of quirky details and little oases. In the cosy, bright living room, you can lounge on the daybed in a lovely mix of patchwork rugs and coloured powders, which add plenty of soul and warmth. Perhaps with the wood-burning stove on a blustery day?
If you wake up early, you can list while the rest of the house is still bubbling, brew a coffee on the espresso machine and trundle out onto the terrace, where you can settle on the bench and rest your back against the sun-warmed beams. Listen to the birdsong and smell the herbs as you contemplate what the day will bring.
You can enjoy a lovely summer day on one of the child-friendly beaches with hayfields and fine, golden sand - or cycle to Tisvildeleje, visit one of the many farm shops and flea markets or take a long walk in the deep, quiet forest of Tisvilde Hegn. When dusk falls, you can hang out for hours around dinner on the terrace before you crawl into bed - perhaps in one of the cottage's cosy sheds.
