About this house
On the beautiful, scenic peninsula of Helnæs, you'll find this nostalgic holiday home that offers peace, relaxation and time for togetherness in true seaside hotel style. From the house you have a view of the sea and the morning sun, which brightens up the living room when you step out of the cozy rooms in the morning. The house is decorated with recycled furniture and quirky flea market finds, carefully selected to preserve the nostalgic cottage feel. The spacious kitchen is the heart of the house, with room and space to read a good book in the rocking chair in front of the wood-burning stove, play board games at the dining table and enjoy a glass of wine with the chef from the other side of the kitchen island. The 100 sqm terrace around the house offers several different atmospheres, with a barbecue, sun loungers, sandpit, outdoor shower, hanging chair and countless sun spots. And if you're looking for a real bonfire with a sea view, you can bring a tray with drinks and marshmallows to the back of the large garden. In the garden there's also a large sandpit shaped like a pirate ship with plenty of toys for the little ones, and inside the bunk room is big enough to fit a travel cot. In addition to a travel cot, there's also a high chair so your little one can sit at the table for cozy moments.
With only 100 meters to the beach, you can easily take a morning dip from the new jetties on a beautiful little beach that is rarely crowded. And if you prefer to enjoy the sea above water, you can jump in one of the house's red kayaks and take a trip on Helnæsbugten. There are also great opportunities for fishing from the many coastal sites. You'll experience a very special atmosphere as soon as you see Funen in the rearview mirror and pass the beautiful dam across to Helnæs. It's like stepping straight into a Morten Korch movie with cozy houses, farm shops, flea markets and bison enjoying their large, free nature area. There are plenty of opportunities for walks and exploration in the beautiful nature Helnæs offers - either at Helnæs Made (a 280 ha nature area), or Bobakkerne, where you can experience the most beautiful sunset over the Little Belt while sitting on top of the natural hills.
