Located on Bellosguardo Hill, at an elevation of 120 meters, this 60-square-meter detached villa combines the Tuscan countryside and the historic center into a single living space. The property is listed as a historic monument and has a royal history: it was once an outbuilding of Villa Borgherini, and in the 16th century, Baccio D’Agnolo built the Renaissance-style staircase and arch there, which are now framed by century-old wisteria.

The interior is a bright, open space, open on three sides, offering views of the countryside and Renaissance architecture. Antique furniture, works of art, and books adorn the rooms. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for Tuscan cooking. The master bedroom features a king-size bed; in the living room, you’ll find a sofa bed and a single armchair bed. Wi-Fi, air conditioning, television, and linens are included.

The garden surrounds the villa on two sides and features a large barbecue. The view of the countryside and the city changes with the light: at sunset, Florence glows in the background, set among olive trees and cypresses. You can sometimes spot deer and pheasants. Walking down the scenic road between the ancient walls and olive trees, you’ll reach San Frediano, one of Florence’s most authentic neighborhoods, with its artisan shops, trattorias, and historic bars. From there, the Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens are about a 15- to 20-minute walk away, the Ponte Vecchio is about 20 minutes away, and the main monuments are all within easy reach as you continue your stroll.
