About this house

You’ll find architectural tranquility and minimalist luxury tucked away deep within the dunes. This thoughtfully designed retreat is crafted for those seeking uncompromising quality and undisturbed closeness to nature. Here, the traditional summer cottage idyll has been replaced by sophisticated elegance, where the house blends seamlessly with the wild North Jutland dune landscape.

Inside, you’ll be greeted by raw exclusivity with brick walls, dark acoustic ceilings, black vertical wood panels, and large tiles. Floor-to-ceiling glass panels invite the sea grass and the North Jutland light into the living room. Four tranquil bedrooms feature high-quality beds. The minimalist bathroom features dark tiles and a luxurious rain shower. Underfloor heating in every room ensures a comfortable atmosphere year-round.

The enclosed courtyard setting with large wooden terraces creates a safe and completely private outdoor space. Here you’ll also find a discreet outdoor shower—the ultimate luxury after a trip to the beach. The house is situated low in the terrain, nestled in a dune hollow, creating a unique cave-like atmosphere where you’re completely private and sheltered from the wind.

You’re just a two-minute walk from the white sandy beach of the Kattegat. The area is a mecca for nature lovers, featuring protected areas and Bunken Dune Plantation. Denmark’s largest shifting sand dune, Råbjerg Mile, is just a short walk away. Ålbæk Harbor offers fresh fish straight from the fishing boats. In 15 minutes, you can reach Skagen with Grenen, the yellow houses, and the art museums.
