Rural charm for big families in Vendsyssel

About this house

North of the fjord in the lovely region of Vendsyssel lies the Svarrehus farm, situated on a six-hectare property featuring woods, a lake, and fields. Here, there is plenty of room for a large family or group of friends to find peace and quiet in a home with a personal touch, featuring natural materials, muted colors, classic design, and a focus on comfort.

The atmosphere in the living-dining area is rustic, with a brick floor and a vaulted wooden ceiling featuring exposed beams. Here, you’ll find a beautiful view through the large windows and plenty of space to gather the extended family around the plank table. In the fireplace room, the lounge chairs on casters can easily be moved around as you wish. Gather around the cooking in the lovely, large custom-built kitchen in the living-dining area, or enjoy a sense of wellness in the bathroom with its wooden tub and elegant brass details.

The large property invites both free play and immersion in nature. In the old, wild garden, you’ll find the south-facing terrace and many cozy nooks, while the west-facing terrace between the slopes offers an idyllic courtyard atmosphere with its moss-covered cobblestone steps and the old witch hazel. Explore among the fruit trees and berry bushes, or enjoy the beautiful view of Stagsted Forest at one of the two fire pits. The trampoline offers plenty of space for the kids to romp around.
