This 110-square-meter apartment is located on the first floor in the car-free Lindern Hageby, a brick-building neighborhood from the 1920s that feels like a small village in the heart of Oslo. Light streaming in from both sides gives the rooms an open feel, and daily life flows naturally between the apartment and the green common areas outside.

The large living area combines the kitchen, dining area, and living room into one space. The long table provides plenty of room for shared meals, and the built-in bookshelf and TV nook with a large sofa make the room perfect for quiet evenings in front of the fireplace. The kitchen has plenty of counter space. On the lower level are two bedrooms with double beds and a children’s room with two sleeping areas—one bed measuring 144 cm and one measuring 180 cm.

The backyard is car-free and green, with space for play, picnics, and outdoor dinners on warm summer days. The playgrounds between the buildings are easily accessible, and children can move about freely. There are also quieter corners for those who want to retreat for a while.

The neighborhood has cafes, bakeries, and restaurants to choose from. Håndbakt Lindern and Åpent Bakeri in Adamstuen are great places to stop for breakfast, and Little Wolf and Rouleur Oslo are among the favorites for dinner. St. Hanshaugen, with its view of the city, and the Geitmyra school gardens are lovely green spaces to visit.
