About this house
In the heart of the island, surrounded by the most beautiful scenery, lies this renovated annex furnished with designer pieces. The house’s elegant plank floors come from the demolition of a warehouse in Copenhagen Harbor, and it was renovated and restored by two architecture professors from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Paustian’s House, which has been renamed Ras Smed’s House, was designed by Paustian himself, so every detail has been carefully considered. Everything here was completely restored in 2020—both inside and out—and it really shows. The lovely living room features two comfortable sofa beds, an armchair in front of the wood-burning stove, and a dining table centrally placed for cozy family moments. The living room’s exit to the garden provides the most wonderful feeling of being at one with nature. The bedroom and the small, cozy kitchen also open onto the garden. Outside, the atmosphere is simply wonderful, and when the main house isn’t in use, you have the whole place to yourself. From here, it’s not far to the Brugsen grocery store, and thanks to the beautiful location, you have a view of the fields in Sønderbjerg. The house can comfortably accommodate four people.
