Red thatched cottage with private wood

About this house

Surrounded by Odsherred's beautiful, hilly landscape in the small coastal town of Ellinge Lyng, this fine, old cottage exudes nostalgia with its red-painted walls and thatched roof. Here there is room for the extended family and four-legged friends to unfold on the large, wooded plot.

Inside, the decor is homely, with lots of personal touches and special retro finds. The rustic wooden floors and exposed rafters in the ceiling give the rooms a nice, rustic feel that harmonizes with the rural vibe of the house. In the spacious kitchen, the classic doors have been given a modern touch with black paint. Enjoy the sunset over the vegetable garden from the armchairs in the conservatory, or gather on the corner sofa for a cozy game in front of the fireplace in the living room.

The large, lush garden invites you to slow afternoons in the hammock under the old apple tree or to go on a treasure hunt and build caves in the many nooks and crannies. At the same time, the cozy courtyard is the perfect place to enjoy delicious summer meals. Roses and sage fill the air with sweet scents during the summer months. Let the kids let their imaginations run wild in the beautiful tree house in the forest and look for the cute little fairy houses between the trees.
