Architectural country idyll by Maglehøj Beach

About this house

On the southwest coast of Lolland, you'll find this unique and striking 500 m2 holiday home, designed by the architect Ørnsholt and built in 1929. When you arrive, you'll be greeted by a dark green gate and a large driveway with nutstones. There is room for the extended family or company to unfold in both the main house and the smaller side house, each with its own style, creating an atmospheric setting in peaceful, scenic surroundings.

When you enter through the solid oak front door with the inscription "Ogsaa du bringer fred" and a brass bell, the mood is already set. The house is newly renovated and the decor is country-style, with new and old furniture blending beautifully, while fun finds and beautiful paintings add personality to the rooms. In the main house, the white plastered walls, solid wooden doors and old ceiling beams create a warm, rustic feel, while the side house is colorful and deliberately kept in a lighter, classic style. Unfold the yoga mats, create a cozy dormitory or find space for your conference in the 65 sqm hall with a high ceiling and plenty of natural light.

On the 6,000 square meters of grounds, there's plenty of space to unfold on the beautiful lawns, while old, beautiful trees surround you and create a sense of idyll and nostalgia. Gather for a barbecue on the terrace or bring out the kayaks. From the house, it's only 100 meters to the lovely sandy beach with coves and a nice jetty.
