Designer container home by the sea in Långvind

About this house

This innovative container home in Långvind represents the architecture of the future with its focus on sustainability and smart design. As Sweden’s first of its kind, the home offers a unique blend of modern aesthetics and environmental awareness—perfect for those who want to check out of everyday life and check in to harmony with nature.

The 45-square-meter main building impresses with its 4-meter-high ceilings and open floor plan. A comfortable double bed is located on the ground floor, while the loft accommodates two single beds. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and appliances. The separate 15-square-meter guest cottage offers additional sleeping accommodations with a bunk bed.

The bright, fully tiled bathroom is equipped with a shower, washing machine, and a modern, waterless composting toilet from Harvest Moon. The toilet combines sleek, Scandinavian design with a regenerative lifestyle. By separating urine, nutrients are returned directly to nature’s cycle instead of burdening traditional sewage systems—a conscious and simple way to protect the environment during your stay.

The house’s exterior blends harmoniously into the surrounding pine forest. From the property, you have direct access to beautiful nature experiences, where you can enjoy complete tranquility and fresh air. Several sandy beaches are within easy walking distance, with the nearest just 300 meters away.

The surrounding area offers activities for every taste—from tennis and mini-golf to hikes along beautiful trails. During the summer months (June through August), the local summer shop becomes a natural gathering spot for fresh rolls in the morning or ice cream in the evening.
