A river flows behind the cabin, and from the secluded back patio, you can watch ducks, beavers, and cranes as evening falls. The cabin is easily accessible yet offers the peace and quiet and rural atmosphere that make a trip to the countryside worthwhile.

The back patio is furnished with comfortable seating and a fire pit, making it easy to unwind here after a day outdoors. The cabin features modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, and along the trails in the surrounding area, you’re likely to meet friendly hikers who’ll stop for a chat.

Along the water’s edge is a well-maintained area with a shelter, fire pit, firewood, a swimming dock, and restroom facilities; it takes about an hour to walk there on the gravel road. Several swimming spots are located along the water. The climbing park at Vassendlandet features a barbecue hut, a fire pit, and a designated swimming area, and is free for everyone.

Hiking trails up the hill offer views of Randsfjordvegen, and the hike is well worth it for both the scenery and the terrain. The area is well-suited for families with children and those who want to combine swimming, fishing, and hiking through forests and fields.
