About this house
On Lolland, the yellow porter's house stands beautifully in the middle of the green, lush nature with its yellow facade and red roof, windows and doors. It exudes idyll, charm and relaxation. The house looks very much like something from the old days, but step inside and you'll see that it's completely renovated, stylish and modern. A really nice way to let contrasts meet. The surroundings are unique, scenic and tranquil.
The yellow porter's residence is part of Aalholm Castle, which is one of Denmark's few preserved medieval castles. The castle is a mighty fortress that will fascinate most people. The castle was built by the king and belonged to the royal family from the end of the 13th century until 1725. The castle has been rebuilt several times over the years, and back in 1889 it underwent extensive renovation. However, the buildings still bear a huge amount of medieval influence.
About a kilometer from the house is the town of Nysted, which surprises most people with its small, winding streets, charming houses and cozy harbor. The entire island offers a wealth of beautiful, family-friendly beaches, great places to eat and fantastic nature experiences. Lolland is a place you will never forget.
The house is ideal for a family of four who want to experience and explore the South Sea island.
