About this house
On Hildursgade, you’ll live in a penthouse that’s been opened up to the ceiling with extra windows installed, allowing light to pour in in a way that surprised even the owners. The house is over 100 years old and is located in a small yellow townhouse surrounded by pastel-colored houses, giving the neighborhood an almost village-like atmosphere right in the middle of Copenhagen.
A raw brick wall runs through the room, the ceiling is slanted, and everything is a bit uneven in the way that makes an old home feel authentic. Hidden away from the living room is a small, secluded balcony. Beneath the windows is a cozy nook where you can settle in and enjoy a leisurely morning as the light streams in from above.
The garden belongs to the building’s residents and is not available to guests. Fælledparken, however, is just a 6-minute walk away, so you won’t miss out on a touch of greenery. The neighborhood has a quiet, almost private feel with small residential streets and pockets of greenery, yet offers easy access to the rest of the city.
Svanemøllen Strand is a 15-minute bike ride away. In the immediate area, you’ll find cafés and restaurants like Et cetera, Oberra, Cleo, and Copenhagen Coffee Lab, pastries at Bageriet B, and ice cream at Siciliansk Is. Gro Spiseri is within walking distance for a more special dinner.
