Restored quarry house in Skåne

About this house

Step into a piece of Swedish history in this thoughtfully restored quarry master's house from 1906. The property comprises a main house, guest cottage, and a serene cube retreat, all updated with modern amenities while preserving their historic charm.

The interior seamlessly blends past and present, featuring mid-century furnishings, original artworks, and industrial lighting throughout. The main house boasts a Hastens king bed, antique zinc bathtub, and an original Swedish kakelugn fireplace, while modern comforts include geothermal heating and high-speed internet.

The outdoor space invites relaxation with multiple terraces, including a covered dining area off the kitchen. The property welcomes a friendly resident cat, Boots, who independently comes and goes, adding to the home's warm atmosphere.

And imagine this: Just 100 metres away, a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of Gylsboda quarry, followed by the soothing warmth of a sauna nestled amidst the trees. This enchanting spot, created by the local community, offers the perfect opportunity to unwind with a forest bath and sauna session. Pure bliss.

Please note that Boots, the host’s friendly cat, enjoys meeting new people and being petted but also values his alone time and spends much of it outdoors.
