Bright summer house with blooms in Hornbæk

About this house

Near Hornbæk in North Zealand on a small gravel road with three farms and only a few summer cottages, this lovely house is secluded on a peaceful plot. The 250-year-old oak trees line the road, so you arrive at the house along a beautiful driveway. Surrounded by trees and a large lawn, there's plenty of space for the family to feel at home in the warm, bright rooms.

The heart of the cottage is the large kitchen-dining room with access to the terrace. It has a vaulted ceiling and a lovely soft light through the large floor-to-ceiling gable windows. Enjoy a quiet moment lying on the corner sofa with a view of the garden's beautiful willow tree, where birds diligently visit the bird feeder, or set the table with fine dinnerware from Royal Copenhagen at the round dining table. The interior of the house is light and tasteful with natural colors and nostalgic, retro details.

Fruit trees and flowering shrubs grow all around the garden, while roses and perennials frame the south-facing terrace. The large lawn invites you to sunbathe, play ball games and play on the trampoline or swings. Have a barbecue dinner around the garden table or enjoy the sun and a good book in one of the two deck chairs. In the garden, the many cozy nooks and crannies create an atmosphere of safe idyll around you.
