About this house
The apartment in Kongens Enghave offers you a peaceful retreat in a leafy Copenhagen neighborhood dating from the late 1930s, featuring Danish design furniture, textile art, and a small private garden accessible directly from the living room. The train station is three minutes away, and it’s a 15-minute walk to Vesterbro’s cafés and city life.
The interior features architect-designed furniture, natural materials, and textile art. The bedroom has a large bed with Tempur mattresses, soft pillows, and blackout curtains. From the living room, you step directly into the small private garden, which is the perfect spot to sit on a warm summer evening with a glass of wine.
Two older bicycles are ready and waiting if you’d like to explore Copenhagen on two wheels. Vestre Kirkegård is one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces and is located close to the apartment. From there, you can walk on to Søndermarken and Frederiksberg Have, and there are harbor beaches at Teglholmen and Sluseholmen in the neighborhood.
The cisterns in Søndermarken are worth a visit, and the award-winning Karens Minde Aksen trail leads you toward the beach in Valbyparken. The Moroccan South Harbour café and the Pauli wine bar in the old South Harbor are both great stops. Be sure to also take a trip to Amager Bakke for the views and architecture, or visit Copenhagen Contemporary on Refhaleøen.
