About this house
You find yourselves in an architect-designed house where the landscape has been incorporated into every detail. Untreated cedar weathers in harmony with the elements, and the muted colors blend seamlessly with the dunes and grass. The house sits lightly on the terrain, respecting the beach and nature.
Inside, warm plywood envelops both walls and ceilings in a serene materiality. Light defines the spaces throughout the day, and the square footage feels spacious with thoughtful connections between inside and outside. Large windows bring the fjord view into every living area.
The garden connects you to the surrounding landscape through small glimpses and openings. Direct access to Isefjorden gives you the beach as your front yard, where you can enjoy the tranquility by the water or take a dip.
Explore Kulhuse Harbor and enjoy coffee at Elmelunden. Take the ferry to Sølager, visit Hundested Harbor, or pick up fresh fish at Kulhuse Brugsen. Walk along the beach through Bauthøj’s garden, visit Jægerspris Castle, or experience the sand sculpture festival in Hundested.
