About this house
La Fuente de Casares is a private estate reached via a long road winding through mature orchards. Trees completely surround the villa, and the sound of birds replaces that of traffic. Rolling hills stretch out all around, and the sense of seclusion is immediate.
The restoration has preserved the original materials: soft linens, vintage pieces, and handcrafted elements come together to create an unpretentious Mediterranean interior. Each room opens directly onto the gardens or one of the terraces, so that the interior and exterior flow together naturally.
The estate has its own natural spring and orchards of avocado, orange, lemon, fig, and pomegranate trees where you can pick seasonal fruit. Among the trees are quiet nooks with hammocks hanging beneath the canopy, and the private pool is the gathering spot for long afternoons.
The sandy beaches of Sabinillas and the coves of Casares Costa feature beach bars where you can dine by the sea. The white village of Casares is worth a visit at night: the terrace at El Cortijo restaurant offers views of the illuminated village. The Costa del Sol’s golf courses are just a short drive away.
