Villa on Lake Como beside a medieval castle

On the western shore of Lake Como, just north of Menaggio, this early 20th-century villa underwent a complete renovation in 2020, preserving its original floors. Next to it stands Rezzonico Castle, built in the 14th century by the De la Torre family. You'll have all of this as the backdrop for your stay.

The villa spans three levels and covers approximately 250 square metres, accommodating up to 12 people. The four bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, have their own unique style. The living room, featuring a wood-burning fireplace and an oak table, is equipped with a BOSE sound system. The fully equipped kitchen includes a breakfast bar. The attic accommodates up to five children with single beds and features the original flooring.

The terrace overlooking the lake offers a 270° view of Bellagio, Varenna, Bellano and Dervio, with the Bergamo Alps in the background. An electric awning provides shade from the heat. The first-floor balcony's covered with vines. The private garden extends across several levels among oleanders and palm trees. From mid-April through September, you've got the private pool (6 x 2.5 m).

Rezzonico's still considered a hidden gem on Lake Como. You'll find a small beach about 120 m away, and nearby are the Trattoria Pizzeria Dei Platani and a traditional grocery store. A former road, now closed to traffic, runs along the lake and is ideal for jogging. Menaggio, with its cafés, restaurants and shops, is less than a 10-minute drive away.
