About this house
This restored stone farmhouse sits atop a sunny hill near Sillico, a medieval village in the heart of Garfagnana. Here, you'll find yourself in a place where ancient terraced fields, centuries-old chestnut groves, and panoramic views of the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines set the tone for every day.
The flat accommodates up to four people and features two bedrooms—one with a double bed and one with two single beds—a modern bathroom with a spacious shower, a large sitting room with a sofa, and a dining area with a well-equipped kitchen. Traditional materials, authentically preserved, blend seamlessly with the comforts of the modern traveller.
The private veranda's the perfect spot to gather around the table or on the outdoor sofa, with chairs, a barbecue and sun loungers at your disposal. The private garden's surrounded by ancient terraces now used for grazing, with chestnut groves stretching beyond. You'll share the pool and hot tub with the other apartment in the farmhouse.
Sillico offers fresh bread, local products, a village café, and a family-run restaurant. In the surrounding area, 35 km of marked trails take you along ancient pilgrim routes, past hermitages, mills, and villages. The Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park are nearby.
