About this house
Up here in the mountains, with views of the long Gilafjell mountain range, you will find peace and quiet. The large windows bring nature into the cabin, and on the small patio you can enjoy the view with a cup of coffee. This is the perfect base for those seeking a mountain stay in the heart of Valdres.
The cabin is furnished in a simple and functional way. From the dining table and living room, you have a direct view of the open landscape. The large windows let in light and make the room feel open and spacious. In addition to this, you will find a sauna where you can relax after long mountain hikes or long days of skiing.
Around the cabin is a small patio with space to sit outside. The plot is large and fenced, and here you will find a table with benches where you can eat meals outdoors while enjoying the view of the mountain landscape.
Directly opposite the cabin rises Gilafjell, with its peak Kruk at 1580 meters. The trip there takes about three hours each way and gives you a view of large parts of Valdres. An easier trip is over Rennefjell from Sonjavarden, which takes two hours. Two kilometers away is Syndinstøga with a café and shop. In winter, there are nice ski trails that pass right by the cabin.
