About this house
This apartment is located in one of Oslo’s most vibrant neighborhoods, with the Akerselva River, cafés, and restaurants right on your doorstep. It was designed by an architect from top to bottom—the choice of materials, proportions, and lighting were carefully considered as a whole, and it shows.
The interior is inspired by the Japandi aesthetic: clean lines, natural materials, and a muted color palette that lets the space breathe. Large windows let in natural light throughout the day. It’s a place that makes it easy to cook good food, unwind after a day in the city, or simply be present.
The apartment has a veranda—a lovely spot to retreat to when the weather permits. The Akerselva river is right nearby and is frequently used for walks and runs, a green oasis in the heart of the city.
The neighborhood is close to everything. Tranen, Fomoto, Hønse-Lovisas Hus along the Akerselva, Syverkiosken, and Emmas Bagel are all within a five-minute walk. In the evening, Rodeo and Colonel Mustard are natural stops. Ten minutes away are Grünerløkka and Torshov, with a wide selection of restaurants and bars.
