About this house

On the Angeln peninsula, located near the Flensburg Fjord, you will find a seemingly untouched natural landscape with forests and gently rolling fields. A small stream flows along the property with its historic thatched roof house in a secluded, quiet location surrounded by nature. Many features of the thatched cottage (as the old thatched houses in Schleswig Holstein are called), built around 1850, have been preserved: the old ceiling beams, the lattice and dormer windows, and the color scheme.

During the renovation, great importance was attached to remaining true to the style of the house and not overloading the interior. The combination of high-quality, custom-made wooden furniture and antique furnishings paired with wooden floors creates a cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

The heart of the house is the large living and dining area with an open kitchen on the ground floor. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you could want for a high-quality cooking experience. Here, many lattice windows open up a wide view of the lovingly landscaped cottage garden. Upstairs, you can sleep comfortably directly under the pointed roof, where there is a bedroom with a large double bed and a room with two single beds. The stylish bathroom with underfloor heating and a large walk-in shower provides a feeling of wellness during your vacation in the countryside.

The large garden offers many places to relax, sunbathe, and read. In summer, you can pick pears, apples, and plums in the orchard and catch the first rays of sunshine on the terrace. The garden also features a fire pit, which is ideal for long evenings around the campfire. In addition, the barrel sauna with panoramic windows at the edge of the forest invites you to enjoy relaxing moments surrounded by nature and offers a special place to unwind for a small fee of €12 per use.

This vacation paradise is perfect for nature and beach lovers who seek the tranquility of nature and want to spend a vacation away from the tourist crowds, yet close to picturesque places. Here you can find time for yourself, whether as a couple, a group of friends, or even as a family.
