About this house
The vacation home in Skovgårde was built in 2025 and sits on a hilly lot overlooking the sea. There are many cozy spots from which you can watch the sky’s changing hues—from sunrise to sunset. Parts of the property remain in their natural state.
The house is functionally designed to accommodate multiple guests. Both the main cottage and the annex have their own bathroom and toilet as well as an outdoor shower, so there’s room for everyone without having to wait in line in the morning. This makes it ideal for traveling with a group.
From the property, it’s a 5-minute walk to a swimming beach. Along the coast, you can hike along the old rescue road—perhaps with a stop in Fjellerup, continuing on to Bønnerup or Gjerrild. The sea provides a constant backdrop throughout your stay.
At Bønnerup Harbor, you can buy fresh fish at Møllefisk or enjoy a seafood menu at Café Kajkanten. Madam Blå in Fjellerup is also a great option—remember to make a reservation. Gammel Estrup and the stone cairns at Tustrup are worth a visit, and Djurs Sommerland, Skandinavisk Dyrepark, Ree Park Safari, and Kattecentret are all within easy reach if you’re traveling with children.
