About this house
This lovely thatched farmhouse is quietly situated with the trees at its back and plenty of views over the fields of Sydals. Here you can take a break from everyday obligations and enjoy nature and the water in the many fjords and bays that surround Als.
In the cottage's family room, the white-painted wooden ceilings with exposed beams bear witness to the history of the centuries-old house. Here you can prepare delicious cottage meals in the fine kitchen while the conversation flows and the breeze from the open windows facing the forest brings in the scent of trees and foliage. On chilly days, the underfloor heating will keep your feet warm after exploring the area.
From the southernmost tip of Als, you can drive along the narrow isthmus Drejet, or "Æ Drej", to the peninsula of Kegnæs and visit the beautiful old lighthouse or one of the many south-facing beaches. In the waters around Als you can swim, sail and practice water sports, whether you're into fast-paced kite surfing or a calm kayak ride on calm waters as the sun rises.
