About this house

You’ll be staying high up on a mountain with the ocean just five minutes away. The house is located at the end of a small gravel road, surrounded by a beautiful stone wall with nothing but mountains and sky beyond. The large, natural lot borders a green area where few people pass by. On the patio, bathed in afternoon sun, you can spend your summer evenings watching the sun go down.

Built in 2014, the house is modern and of a high standard, but preserved craftsmanship from the old house—wall cabinets, rattan furniture, and a chiffonier—gives it a sense of tradition. High ceilings, large windows, and four openings to the outside make the 100 square meters feel spacious. Two double doors lead out to the patio, one from the kitchen and one from the larger bedroom.

The garden features rock outcrops with heather, a lawn with trees and a hammock, as well as berry bushes to pick from. A wind-protected outdoor space carved into the rock from the stonemason era offers a unique seating area. The simple 15-square-meter guest cottage has windows and double doors with a view.

Endless swimming spots are within a fifteen-minute walk—child-friendly beaches, piers, cliffs, or a trampoline. By car, you can reach nature reserves like Valön and Veddö, fishing villages such as Hamburgsund and Fjällbacka, cultural sites in Gerlesborg, and rock carvings in Torsbo. A grocery store, restaurants, and a café are available in the nearest town.
