About this house
Step into a piece of Andalusian history at this old olive oil mill, which was in operation for over a century, until 1967. You'll find original features everywhere, from the huge millstones of the old press to the old water pump. The mill was powered by mules before electricity took over in 1939, and locals still remember visiting here as children.
Your apartment combines quiet elegance with authentic character. The spacious rooms feature classic styling, while bougainvillea cascades over the whitewashed village surroundings. Large windows frame the views, and historical details remind you of the building's working past.
Guests also have access to a beautiful shared pool and sun terrace, complete with sun loungers and a rainforest-style shower. The pool is heated from Easter to October, making it perfect for a relaxing dip for much of the year in this peaceful mountain setting.
The property is located in the heart of the white mountain village of Gaucín, perched above quiet cobbled streets. From its terrace, the views stretch across the mountains to Gibraltar and beyond to the North African coast, a backdrop that changes with every hour of the day.
Gaucín offers stunning walks and hiking trails right from your doorstep. Nearby you will find equestrian centers, paddle tennis courts, a gym, and excellent tapas bars. The beach is a 25-minute drive away, Ronda is 35 minutes away, and charming villages dot the surrounding hills, or simply relax by the pool.
