New build and traditional house below Lausche

About this house

You combine modernity and history in a wood-inspired new building from 2025 and a half-timbered house from 1838. The 2500 square meter meadow property in Herrenwalde offers space for your family and friends, with a view of the Lausche in the Zittau Mountains Nature Park. Here you will find a balance between comfort and a feeling of nature.

The light-flooded kitchen-diner frames the view of the orchard and mountains. Gather around the large dining table for special dinners. The bright, simple design with muted colors creates a calm atmosphere. In the half-timbered house, the cast-iron stove warms you up while you play billiards.

The partially covered terrace is perfect for breakfast and barbecues. On the large lawn, you can sit by the fire, watch the children play, or enjoy the silence. You might even spot a deer in the field. The sauna with relaxation room opens onto the south-facing roof terrace.

Hike, run, swim, cycle, or ski – the Zittau Mountains offer something for everyone. The Lausche, at 793 meters the highest peak, towers over the landscape. In the border triangle with Czechia and Poland, you can experience traditional crafts and the hospitality of the region.
