Design retreat among chestnuts in Ribeira Sacra

About this house

A spacious and bright country home on a 1,749 m² property, surrounded by open meadows with views of the valley. We built it with the idea that family and friends would always have a place to gather, and today groups from all over the world enjoy it throughout the year.

Each of the six bedrooms has its own bathroom, giving every guest their own private space. Large windows fill the rooms with natural light. The dining, indoor and outdoor furniture is flexible, allowing each group to arrange it as they wish, and there are quiet corners both inside and out for chatting or relaxing.

The garden features two century-old chestnut trees that provide shade in the summer and vibrant colours in the fall, and continue to produce chestnuts every year. The estate exudes a sense of calm and privacy that many guests highlight, and the town centre's just a five-minute walk away.

Ribeira Sacra offers river gorges and terraced vineyards. You can visit Praia da Cova to swim in the Miño River, rent a kayak, sail a catamaran through the Sil River gorges, or head to the Cabo do Mundo viewpoint. The province of Ourense also boasts natural outdoor hot springs.
