"Pasteldrømmen" at the beach in Sonnerup

About this house

At the foot of Sjællands Odde you'll find 'Syrenhuset' - a traditional black-painted wooden summer house that hides pastels in all shades. Perfect for the large family or group of friends looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and a real shot of cottage idyll right in the middle of Lumsås Strand and Sonnerup Forest. The vibrant colors are a common thread throughout the cottage, with the open kitchen-dining room as the focal point. Here you can enjoy cooking at the sky blue kitchen island, gather for good meals and good company at the dining table and relax in the sofa corner. Grab a grandpa or retreat to a quiet moment in one of the cottage's four spacious bedrooms with three double beds and a bunk bed for the little ones. From the living room you can step out onto the cottage's terraces where you can have lunch with fresh fish from Odden Harbor. Here you'll find great spots in the sun from morning to evening and shelter from the wind. Spend bright summer evenings on the covered terrace with lit candles and a glass of wine, or warm up around the fire pit on chilly fall days. Just a few minutes from the cottage you can reach the beautiful beach, where you can spend hours collecting stones and shells, walking in the surf and jumping in the waves - and the active ones can try their hand at the cottage's SUP board. If you miss city life, Odden's charming harbor town and the historic market town of Nykøbing Sjælland are just a short drive away.
