From the cottage, it's just 500 meters to Heather Hill with its characteristic heather-clad hills and coastal path along the Kattegat. Gribskov, one of Denmark's largest forests, is also nearby with its ancient birch forests and hiking trails, while the towns of Helsinge and Gilleleje offer shopping and dining experiences.
